Beach time!!

I actually don’t like going to the seaside….
Having shared that with you, I do realise most people like it and, even if I don’t like the heat, water and the boredom that goes with that type of holiday, I do go  to the beach too, only for the shortest time possible though!images

I suppose a summer tan is useful as well, one tends to always look better with a little colour, but, be careful, you shouldn’t go too far with that and end up looking like wrinkled cardboard and worse still, common!!

Anyway, I had my usual look around and found some “essentials” one ought to have…

Bikinis and &…
Prefer simple or some tasteful print
MUST suit your body
No point wearing a top which ties around your neck if you than want to avoid sun marks and end up tying it in a funny way..
Top and bottom don’t have to be from the same bikini but obviously must go nicely together

or you might want to hide your tummy..

Seafolly Goddess Maillot swinsuit white

or be colourful..

Flip-flops

A beautiful bag
Huge
Here you can go wild…

or not…

and if you fancy going a bit over the top and looking very chic..
A huge hat

&Other Stories straw sun hat

Of course don’t forget sunglasses….
Ok big but no “names” (unless small and tasteful) or glitter please!

I always like aviators lots..

Pink and red VDM (very difficult match)

Handle with extreme care.

My sister bought me some really nice earings a while ago, they are red and pink. Here they are: tmp_20140512_214025590676915

I know, the picture isn’t very clear, but this the best I could do with my tablet!!  Anyway, they are very nice. The match too though. I really like this two colours together. Having said that, I think actually wearing them together is extremely difficult.

I looked mainly on Zalando and found very little in these shades which is wearable! Most clothes and accessories are awful. But, I did see a few lovely things, which you can see below. Get it right and you will have a very fresh, new and exciting outfit; get it wrong and you will look at best ridiculous!!!! Good luck.

Where there is no top, I think the best solution is always the white shirt.
Hope you get the idea, even though I wasn’t able to find much, but perhaps you have just the right things in your wardrobe, waiting to come to a new life….

The black longuette

I saw this lady a few days ago, wearing the most sophisticated skirt ever, THE BLACK LONGUETTE!! It was a jersey, very simple longuette. She had matched it with a pair of ballerinas and a white softly cut, longish shirt. She looked so chic!
Now, it does need to be very well cut and the material needs to be good too, otherwise it’s going to look cheep and shapeless. I also think it should be tight but not too much. The length about 10 cm under the knees hugging them a little. I prefer it without opening at the back.
So, I think one must invest money on it, it’s a classic which is going to last anyway. I love it with flats, or, only for evening and special occasions, it can be worn with heels, as long as they are very simple and classy though.

Here are a couple of outfits:

Of course no tights…
