Found it!

I have finally purchased a see-through mohair sweater. Hurray!!

And it’s in fact, one of the sweaters I had done a post about ( Here ), adding at the end I hadn’t found MY one yet. Ok, I do have an explanation for this. Really, a good one too. I was in love it:

And I had tried it on too, in the shop (the third store in the whole of Italy was opened last October in Bologna, lucky me!). Only, at the time, I went for a size medium, as I am. It looked awful, I was so disappointed. The sleeves were ever so long and it just didn’t look right. So I passed on it. Than, one day, I am not sure how it came to me, I thought perhaps I should try a smaller size, thinking “I am not a model, far from it. Average height, not super model height. So, the next time I was in town, I tried on extra-small. It was perfect. I absolutely adore it, the colour is fantastic as well. Even though is fluffy, being a light “pearly” grey, I think it will be nice in the Spring too.

Conclusion: never go for the size you think you are, it depends soo much on the style (and the height of the model in the picture you are looking at!).

Long on long

There’s nothing like  “LONG on LONG” to make one’s look instantly chic. A little “aristocratic chic”, especially the trench and trousers version.images

I am not sure why, it just does. With flats of course. Whether they are sandals, ballerinas, loafers, brogues, but flat nevertheless. Another detail which would make you look extremely chic would be the absence of a handbag but a man instead (carrying your things)…. Ok, not always possible but you do agree it looks ever so stylish?! Perhaps you could add sunglasses instead…

Some other LONG on LONG ideas:

Although the above are all with trousers and I quite like the LONG CARDIGAN on LONG DRESS or LONG SKIRT too:

Or even a dress over another dress:

I also like the long t-shirt + shorter sweater + cardigan + wide trousers look:

Well, it seems it’s going to be very cold in the next few days, so layers might be a solution…

“Keep it Chic” comfortable look

I saw this look a few days ago :  Keep it chic’s comfortable run-around

and it reminded me how fond I am of the classic cashmere sweater + shirt + jeans + loafers look. It’s a look which never goes out of fashion and it’s ever so chic!

So I decided, even though I loved it, to adapt it even more to my liking. I kept the gorgeous sweater in a different colour and the jeans (they are over my budget but I must admit I was too lazy to find a pair of similar ones). The shoes are gorgeous but, again, out of my reach price wise, so I did find some other pairs. I decided to lose the bag and the sunglasses. The first because I am not finding anything I like and is affordable at the moment, the second because I think it’s daft to wear sunglasses as there is NO sun to be seen around here at the moment… (well, I was thinking about me for this look…)

Cashmere sweater + white shirt + jeans + loafers

Here are some more lovely colours for the jumper:

and some shoes too, which include a pair of amazing clear ones! (even though I adore the classic cognac loafer)

I am not going to show you any more jeans or white shirts as I suspect you own rather a few already you could use, as I do!!
