Spring flowers and denim

Mango Trench denim soft.

I was rather taken by a denim “trench coat”. I think it could be an alternative to the classic and elegant rain coat we all tend to go for. Don’t get me wrong, I do think a “girl” should always own one, it’s just sometimes it’s a bit too dressy. I suppose it depends on which kind of life one leads…I know I would get much more use out of a casual coat right now.

 

 

The way I would wear it for now is with a midi flowers print dress, like this:

But, I also found this striped one:

which I thought was really cute… and to finish them off one could either wear these outfits with trainers or strappy shoes:

Of course this trench could also be nice with a simple t-shirt and trousers..

The Adidas Stan Smith

Has been back in fashion for ages but I have just got mine. I resisted it, mainly because I don’t like it with winter clothes, white shoes just don’t suit them I reckon and anyway, there’s no way I could walk around with bare legs in the cold! That’s the only way I like these trainers to be worn, which I am sure anybody would agree with.  I can’t wear them during summer, too hot. I will never suffer in order to be fashionable. There is only Spring left. I guess now is the right time. There was another reason I waited so long, I don’t like to succumb to trends, but this time I have given up…

I had been looking for the right pair for a couple of weeks when this morning I got my usual e-mail from & Other Stories with their latest “story”: it was about The Stan Smith. It was meant to be, I had to order it, here’s my choice:

A Spring blouse

Fiori_01I keep on saying I don’t like colour but I haven’t realised, until now,  I wear it more and more. Age? Probably. Wisdom? Certainly!!
