Since it looks like quite a few people like tartan (it is my most successful subject ever!!), I think I will have to update my last year’s post about it, with this year’s tartan clothing…..

There are two problems though, the first one is, there’s not much around, I suppose the trend is fading. The second one is, Tartan needs to be good, otherwise it looks awful, so prices are definitely rather high.

But, I searched extensively and found some interesting things, even though not many, to be fair..  As a matter of fact, it has really been difficult to find tartan clothing and what there is, isn’t very nice, lots of cheap stuff!! I have found a site though, where they sell “preowned” things. They are mostly quality designer pieces:

There ‘s otherwise  “The Outnet”, from the “Net-A-Porter’s Group , which sells previous season’s items at discounted prices. Here too, you can find some very good quality things, perhaps the only way most of us can end up owning a designer’s piece!!

First of all, I would like to show you some accessories. I like the idea of wearing a simple outfit and then adding just one tartan piece:

Such a nice wallet! Why hide it in your handbag, use it as a small clutch instead!!

Or you could go for something more casual:

What about adding some tartan shoes? Not with the bag of course, instead of it!

This is the first time ever I see a faux fur collar which looks like a real one, it does look really nice.
