Yesterday I had the morning to myself and I thought I would have a look around in order to find a skirt, obviously much-needed! Really, I did need it!!
I didn’t actually know the had started, I don’t often buy during this awful period, things are ever so messy and it’s difficult to find anything decent.
Anyway, I came home with several things though, but no skirt.
Now, the reason for this, is not what you think. I didn’t buy any skirts because there were none which were suitable. On the other hand, I bought other things, because THEY WERE worth buying.
What I am trying to say is: be open-minded to what is worth buying and buy in the sales only 2 type of things:
1 what you can’t normally afford at full price but you would buy if you had that sort of money and are anyway timeless pieces.
2 things you can afford at full price but you own enough of them already and would be extra.
This is what I found:
1 Promod pair of stretch cotton grey trousers. Grey looks really good whether you have a tan or not, goes with lots of colours. Jeans never go out of fashion.
2 Zara racing vest black in viscose ( no explanation needed here as a girl never has enough black tops). Didn’t actually find the top’s photo in black, sorry..
3 Zara reversible rain parka blue/black ( I am going on holiday to a place where it might rain, be windy and even a little cold. I know, sounds daft!!)
4 Zara beautiful blue and white (huge) cotton scarf to go with Parka ( to make double sure I am not going to be cold and also though because is going to look sooo stylish with my new parka!)
5 a little ribbed black cardigan which solves a multitude of problems….
6 gorgeous quilted beige jacket ( this one, I thought at the time, was from last winter. I later discovered it was from the last collection. Anyway, as it was a classic which I am going to use lots and will not feel guilty if I have something not needed because it cost very little…I bought it!!
So, what are your great buys going to be?
I wouldn’t actually mind to know…
(if you want to share it with me, there’s my e-mail you can write to)
As usual, have fun, because if you don’t, there’s something terribly wrong… or you were in the wrong shops!
