oh… it protects you from rain/wind/cold….
but this is secondary of course….
When you buy it, it must be all of the above, that means this is a piece of clothing you must allow for a reasonable amount of money. Quality is essential, both because cheap ones look awful and also because this coat will have to last you for years….
