Spring wrap-jackets

What kind of jacket do you wear for the Spring? The leather jacket is always nice, although I keep on trying to put it on in the morning and every time I also take it off. I think I have used it too much in the last few years and I am now fed up with it. I also tried with the denim one, but I failed to keep that one on too. I guess I still like my trench-coat but only for rainy days…

So, what shall I wear? Well, I think I have perhaps found “the one”, the wrap-jacket. Otherwise called belted jacket, cape, kimono jacket, etc.

It looks feminine but a little sporty at the same time, it looks chic enough to wear it with elegant clothes but also with jeans. There’s also the coat, which is of course a little more elegant..

Here we are entering expensive territory, but they are suede after all:

A bit less expensive but still leather

Than there are the more affordable jackets

Finally two coats, one bordering “wedding style” so be careful what you match it with!!!

Actually, there’s one more, which is way too light weight to be for the Spring but I had to show it to you because of the belt (see my post about Altuzarra and you will know why).

From Altuzarra

While I realise Altuzarra isn’t at all a make most of us can afford, including myself, I think it’s always worth having a look, if only to steal ideas, like the following:

Off white trousers suit:

I don’t usually like all white, but I do like this trousers suit. I’ve had a look around but I guess it’s a little early for white… this is what I have found for now:

I wouldn’t spend a lot on a white trousers suit, of course it means it won’t have the same great cut as the A. one… I would wear it without shirt and with beautiful “diva” heels.

I also found another two jackets, but this one,

COS LONG SILK JACKET light grey

COS LONG SILK JACKET light grey

which I really like as it is a very chic alternative, doesn’t have trousers to match + is light grey. I would wear it with white trousers anyway and perhaps a low-cut white top (so you match the top to the trousers instead).

This one is cute with its short sleeves,

the problem’s the fabric, horrible synthetic…but I thought I would show it anyway as you can obviously achieve the same idea by having the sleeves of another jacket shortened.

The next item is an accessory, the belt:

I think a bit of DIY is needed here…

You could buy a very nice and very long shoe lace and add a pearl or similar at both ends? Good luck with that and send pictures if you think it came out ok.

Another belt:

This is more about the way it is worn, yes it is again a thin belt, this time a leather one though, but I think it’s nice the fact it is not needed at all and it is worn tied at the side.

A fantastic suede shirt,

Altuzarra-SS15-Look-15

not obsessed with this material at all am I?!?

I haven’t been able to find affordable shirts in this material but there are other options, like suede t-shirts for instance

Last, strangely enough, a pair of shoes

I find the dress ridiculous, but the shoes… oh the shoes…. I have looked at length for a cheaper version but haven’t found one for now. I will let you know if I do.

Hope you like the “stolen” ideas.
