I have just been looking at some of the “street style” pictures from London fashion week by “WhoWhatWear” and I noticed everything looks long (but one). Long trenches, long shirts/t-shirts over long skirts/trousers. There seems to be an awful lot of long around, together with asymmetric cuts and sleeveless/short-sleeves over long sleeves… I rather like it. For more than one reason. Obviously comfortable comes to mind first, than the possibility to hide a few extra kilos, but most of all, relaxed, slightly shabby but with a touch of glamour to it. That is if it is done right, otherwise it might just end up being a fashion disaster.
Have a look at the pictures Here
We are talking layers, nothing new. Perhaps the only new aspect of it all is the fact the asymmetric has entered the picture.

So, as I usually do, I am about to recommend a few pieces you could use to “work the look”. Do go for oversize, but do it right, especially if you aren’t terribly tall. Fabrics must be soft and flowy, big is ok, enormous isn’t, quality is extremely important. I like for example, a t-shirt or shirt that is just right at the shoulders and becomes fuller further down, “A line shape”, like the skirts. That way they don’t make you look big. Anyhow, here are the pics:

So, these are a few ideas, I especially like the shirt showing at the bottom of a jumper or the long sleeves shirt with short sleeves tops over them. Oh! I also love the cape.
Good luck!
