Update on the white blazer

I have been thinking about the white blazer. Although I still think the best solution is a white suit, I went looking for other ways to wear it. Yes, because I do think one can’t just invest in such an expensive garment and get little use out of it. So, here’s a gallery of alternatives:

I also thought perhaps it could be nice to wear the suit with a pair of unusual/bright/busy/ shoes:

I also like a simple slip dress under the blazer, and if you have nice legs even a short one:

Or a long floral print dress otherwise:

The white blazer

I have never owned a white blazer. In fact I don’t own much white at all…

This year though I quite fancy a white blazer. This is the way I see it right now: if during winter it is essential to have a black blazer, then during summer one ought to have a white one… (and a black one too, of course!)

I must say the only way I like though, is with a pair of matching trousers. A suit. A white suit. Rather chic, isn’t it?

So here are some blazers I have found earlier:

How do you like to wear your white blazer?

“Petites” & clothes

No woman is ever happy about her shape/height/colours/etc. Having said that, things tend to be easier for taller people, most of the time. Not always though.

I went looking for a birthday present for my sister. She isn’t tall. In fact, she is really quite petite. I saw this t-shirt and thought immediately it would look rather nice on her:

My next thought was that it wouldn’t look nice on me. I am medium hight. Well, not in that colour anyway. The thing is, petite women, being smaller, don’t have that much “surface” to dress, making something bright/patterned/complicated/etc. less so. This translates into being able to wear these type of clothes with the result that they are easier on the eye and transforming them into chic rather than “over the top”.

Wouldn’t you agree?
