72nd Annual Golden Globes: the gowns

I had a look at some of the gowns worn for the Golden Globes.

The following are the adjectives that come to mind: boring, ill-fitting, badly accessorised , tarty, ridiculous, etc. etc. You are probably thinking I am rather presumptuous, aren’t you??  She can’t  know more than all those Designers!!!!   I don’t. I have a different take on what I said. Quite a few of the gowns are worn by the wrong kind of person, look and body wise I mean. Of course Designers need to publicise their product so they are going to choose famous over the rest. The second reason is very simple: I have my taste and just because a dress is by a famous Designer I don’t necessarily have to like it.

Having clarified that, here are the 3 gowns I do like (on the right person!):

Jennifer Aniston in Saint Laurent

She always tends to be chic..

Diane Kruger in Emilia Wickstead

Although I don’t understand that clutch!

Lena Dunham in Zac Posen

I don’t actually know who she is, but looks great in that dress and she is not your average very thin star, is she?!

And a jumpsuit:

Emma Stone in Lanvin

She does look really cool !

This is it on the beautiful gowns.

I am waiting though on a friend’s article about the horrible ones….                   C. (not my sister, so I will probably ask her to change her initial or use her full name), is a great sarcastic/funny/ironical person. I love her wit. I must inform those of you who can’t understand Italian and are interested in her piece, that she is going to write in Italian only though… sorry!

E.
