While I am not sure I am going to like it next year, I am excited about this new trend of wearing trainers with elegant clothes. Ok, it isn’t perhaps very chic (although I think it can be a little), AND it is rather difficult to pull off, but, it’s something new and, us, fashion addicts, do need a bit of change now and again! We otherwise get bored, and anyway, we need to somehow justify new purchases…
Skirt: I would go for an A-line or flared one. Not sure about a straight skirt, it’s a bit too 80’s. Having said that, if you aren’t terribly tall (are reading sister?), you risk looking like a doll, so, in this case, I would go for a straight one.
A leather one or a long straight one are nice as well. I’ d match the skirt with a jacket/coat which is shorter than the bottom.
Dress: just about anything, but, MUST be extremely chic.
Trousers: You know those classic trousers with tapered legs? Those are the best ones. I love them with a long coat or cardigan.
I like wide leg ones too, only you need to be rather tall for those!
Finally, the trainers: well, there are so many out there… the ones I find more suitable are quite plain. They are a feminine shape, all one colour, and possibly in a nice material.
A few more shoes:
but if you want something more visible, you could go for shoes with a logo
like a classic one
or a print
or even tartan trainers
There are “glittery” ones too
the only high-tops I have found which I like
flat “slipper” looking ones
And, if you really must, colourful ones:
mah, what do you think about these ones? I can’t make my mind up whether they are nice or even trainers for that matter!
Very important: let’s not forget this is a very comfortable trend …embrace it!!!!!!!
